Radio Doc: Staying in the Driver's Seat

I've been reviewing podcasts and radio docs for a while. But, here's my first attempt at making my own. Meet Ted. He's 82 and he is due to renew his driver's license. If he can't pass -- his lifestyle will be changed forever. Also meet Gil Penelosa, pedestrian activist. It's 10 mins.

CBC Ideas chimes in on the 99% vs 1% issue

CBC Ideas is presenting a radio doc called Left Behind, now available as a podcast. The 3-part series explores the growing inequality in the economy.

Producer Jill Eisen talks with many big-name experts on the issue including Linda McQuaig, Richard Wilkensen, Thomas Frank, Anne Golden, and several professors. It's a pastiche of ideas exploring the issues, rather than a single thesis.

The first episode explores how we got here -- tracing the current problems back to the late 60's and 70's.

I have heard most of the arguments before. But it is worth a listen if you want a general overview of the basic issues around income inequality.
